Caperberries

Caperberries are a distinctive ingredient in Sicilian and southern Italian cooking, used in salads, pizzas, meat dishes and pasta sauces. Examples of uses in Italian cuisine are chicken piccata and salsa puttanesca. They are also often served with cold smoked salmon or cured salmon dishes (especially lox and cream cheese). Caperberries can also be substituted for olives to garnish a martini!

  Have you ever been to a restaurant and wanted a nice glass of wine, but when you looked at the wine list, felt completely overwhelmed?  Fear no more - choosing a wine is no longer a daunting task! 
  
Please join us for a fun informal lecture designed to introduce you to the wonders of Italian red wines.  Executive Chef Michael Cirafesi will share with you the basics of tasting and evaluating wines.  This course is intended to give you a broad overview of Italian wines and how to understand their system of wine labeling.  Class includes a sampling of four wines from the Piedmont region,
along with light antipasti.

The dates are now set for Michael Anthony's Summer Cooking School.  We are pleased to offer a curriculum of our most popular Demonstrations and Hands-On Cooking Classes to be repeated throughout the summer months.  Each class will be dedicated to a specific culinary topic, technique or theme - from basic prep skills like carving and filleting to sautéing and braising.  Don't forget to mark your calendar for these exciting upcoming events!

Our award-winning dessert, the Chocolate Soufflé Cake, is now available for you to bake and enjoy at home.  Michael makes them fresh daily and they are always available for you to stop in and pick up a few for that special dinner or just a treat for yourself!

 They keep in the refrigerator for several days, so when you are ready,just pop in the oven for 11 minutes and serve with your favorite ice cream!  Impress your guests or indulge yourself – either way, it’s Heaven!
