The Wines of Pakravan-Papi | Four-Course Wine Dinner | $95 (plus tax and gratuity) | with Special Guests Chiara and Leopoldo Papi
Pakravan-Papi is located on the site of an old farm on the Tuscan coast of the Val de Cecina which, in a distant and nearly forgotten past, used to be wine territory. Over time, the land turned into wilderness as the Mediterranean scrubland took over. For the owners, Amineh Pakravan and Enzo Papi, it was a challenge to recover the original vocation of this territory reviving it with the help of new technologies, while fully respecting old traditions. The pre-conditions for cultivating grapes were there: the micro-climate dominated by sunshine and a breeze from the Mediterranean, diverse and complex ground soil packed with minerals and finally, gentle and well exposed slopes. In the year 2000, the vineyards were planted and the winery was built. Since then, Pakravan-Papi has produced some of today’s best Super Tuscans and we are delighted to share these with you for this special evening.
Chef Trey has created a Tuscan inspired menu to pair with these fabulous wines and we are thrilled to have Chiara and Leopoldo Papi from Pakravan-Papi joining us to present their wines and share their family history.
