Barolo, Barbaresco and Brunello represent the most collected pure varietal wines of Italy and are the three highly sought-after stars of Italian red wine. Barolo reigns eternal as Italy’s “King of Wines and Wine of Kings” – a powerful, full-bodied expression that displays elegance, depth and bold aromatics. Barbaresco shares the varietal throne as Barolo’s Queen, exhibiting a style that is fundamentally similar, while offering a finer, more elegant and sexy interpretation of Nebbiolo that is silkier and less tannic. Brunello, known as “The Little Dark One” is the most recognizable of all the collectible red wines of Italy. Tongue-curling tannins and firm acidity allow these wines to age, catching the eyes of Popes, Presidents, Kings, Queens...and wine collectors. Since most Italians don’t drink these big, tannic wines on an everyday basis, we’ve included Barbera, a fruity and acidic wine that has a reputation for food friendliness. We hope you will join us for a remarkable evening of food and wine at our intimate Chef’s Table. Chef Trey Place will prepare table-side a four-course menu paired with these complex and sophisticated wines, each wine presented by your own personal Sommelier. Seating is limited so please call soon to make your reservation.
