Since 1919, Banfi has been owned and operated by the same family. It’s currently led by 3rd generation proprietor and CEO Cristina Mariani-May. Banfi’s current holdings and wine-making operations in Italy include Castello Banfi of Montalcino, in Tuscany, and Banfi Piemonte, located in Strevi, Piedmont. Banfi is renowned for its painstaking craftsmanship and dedication to producing truly extraordinary vintages.
Joining us to share her passion and knowledge of these wines is McKenzie Schmitt, Banfi’s district manager for North and South Carolina. She is a certified sommelier with twelve years’ experience in the wine industry.
