On December 24th, Italian families all over the world gather together for La Vigilia di Natale - the Christmas Vigil, also called The Feast of the Seven Fishes. The Feast of the Seven Fishes reflects on the rich and varied history of Italians and Italian-Americans. As with many customs, it has evolved with each generation, but the Christmas Eve Seven Fishes dinner remains an important part of Italian culture and has been a tradition at Michael Anthony’s since 2006. We will have an array of seafood that includes fresh fish, calamari, shrimp, clams and crab. There will be vegetables and pasta to round out your meal and, of course, sweets to end the evening. To add to this festive evening, you are invited to bring your own bottles of favorite wines to enjoy with the dinner!
